Start Selling Digital Products Right Now

Hey ladies!

I’m Lauren, a branding and marketing coach at C Note Digital where I teach entrepreneurial women how to build a personal brand and make money online.

Today, let’s diving into the world of digital products… specifically how you can start creating and selling them to make passive income online.

I’m talking real, bankable dollars, from stuff you already know.

Now let me show you how to actually create products out of what you know.

First off…

Let’s start with the big ‘why.’

Why are digital products so amazing?

Well, for one, they’re scalable. All you have to do is create them once and they’ll sell over and over again.

Also, there’s barely any overhead – no physical products to ship.

All you really need to spend money on is a premium plan to create your products in like Canva and a website or landing page to host the products on.

However, you can even get those for free.

Let me tell you…right now is the perfect time to jump in.

People are out here wanting to learn new skills, work on their mindset, level up their businesses, or simply find better ways to do things. And who better to help them than you?

Think of it this way: there’s someone out there who needs your specific brand of knowledge to get where they’re trying to go.

People also buy digital products because they’re convenient.

People often feel stuck in their journey and need someone to push them along. If you’re providing a step-by-step guide, they’re going to see real value in that. That’s where the trust factor in your brand comes in.

If someone connects with your story, your experience, or your personality, they’re more likely to buy from you.

Remember that people aren’t just buying information – they’re buying transformation. They’re buying the confidence, knowledge, or peace of mind that you’re promising with your product.

So what are some digital products you can create today and start selling?

#1. eBooks – Share your knowledge on a specific topic. It could be a How-To guide with about 20-50 pages that thoroughly details what you’re explaining.

#2. Online Courses – Teach what you know. From mindset coaching to skill-building, people love learning through bite-sized video lessons.

#3. Workbooks or Printables – If you’re into planning or organizing, create printable planners, checklists, or goal-setting worksheets.

#4. Templates – You can sell digital templates for social media, business cards, resumes – anything people can customize for their own use.

#5. Guided Journals – These are great for wellness coaches or anyone in the personal development space.

#6. Audio Content – Podcasts, audio courses, or guided meditations if you have a calming voice or wisdom to share.

#7. Online workshops or classes – Deliver high-value lessons that people have to register and pay money for. For example you can be a coach like myself in your niche and charge people $50 to show up for your hour-long class.

The beauty of it is that you don’t need to reinvent the wheel – just think of what you know well, what you’re passionate about, and what others are asking you for advice on.

Now let’s talk about the actual creation process. And trust me, it’s way easier than you think!

We’re blessed to live in an era where tools are at our fingertips. Let’s start with two that I love: Canva and ChatGPT.

Canva is most definitely a game-changer.

I’ve been into graphic design since I was a teenager in the 90s. I’ve always used different programs like Ulead Photoimpact, Gimp, and Photoshop to make all of my designs from scratch.

But now this thing called Canva is on the scene and it completely saves you so much time and energy with your design process. It has pre-installed designs that you can use and customize to your liking. You can design everything in there from e-books to social media templates to printables.

But I highly suggest you pay for a premium account which gives you access to everything on the site and it’s $15 a month. Otherwise you’ll have limited access with the free plan.

But if you don’t mind starting out there, that’s cool too. You can still go in and choose a nice design, turn it into an e-book for example, and save it as a pdf.

You don’t need to be an expert in graphic design to work your magic in Canva. Trust me, just give it a try and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Next, let’s talk about ChatGPT.

It’s a fantastic free tool for brainstorming ideas and creating content. Not sure what to write in your eBook? Or need a jumpstart on a course outline? Just ask ChatGPT! And within seconds, it’ll give you some strong starting points.

Just go in and tweak things to your liking and add in your own words at different points. But don’t rely on it completely to create the content for you. Be sure to give your digital products your own voice with a little bit of help here and there from Chat GPT.

Now let’s talk about pricing, because yes, you deserve to be paid well for your knowledge and effort!

Price points for digital products vary, but here are some ideas to get you started.

Ebooks can go anywhere from $10 to $50.

Online courses are usually $50 to $500.

Mini-courses can be on the lower end, while in-depth courses can go up to hundreds.

Templates and printables are between $5 and $30.

Private classes and workshops range from $10 to $100 per month.

These prices are just ballpark figures. You can go ahead and price your digital products at whatever you want. You’re in control here. This is your online business.

Remember, people are paying for your expertise, your unique insights, and the convenience of having it all laid out for them so take that into consideration.

Don’t undervalue yourself.

It’s actually better to price your products high rather than pricing them low because what you really want to aim for are premium customers that you can pull into your sales funnel and continue selling to them over time with other products.

Once you’ve got your product ready to go, it’s time to choose which platform to sell it on.

You can upload it to your own website, landing page, or digital store like beacons.ai or stan.store.

You need to choose somewhere to host it and keep it saved into a server so that when someone is ready to buy it, they can just hit the buy button, enter their credit card information, and the product is automatically downloaded to their device.

So you have to choose which one is right for you.

And when you do this, your work is still not done. It’s far from done.

You have to use social media to promote it like crazy.

I came across this TikTok that had me cracking up laughing the other day because the lady was saying you have to promote your stuff like crack in the 80s and it’s so true. You gotta sell your product like its the hottest thing in the streets.

So use TikTok. Go live everywhere talking about it. Tiktok live, IG live, Youtube live. Try to make it go viral as much as you can and be relentless about it.

You have to get as many eyes on your product and as many clicks as you can so that those can turn into actual sales.

Make your promotional content fun and hard hitting, so that as soon as somebody sees it, they just gotta hit the Like button.

Like it was just something you said that the viewer just felt in their gut or in their heart. You have to find the right things to say so that people will tap in and love it.

So to sum it up, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to start selling digital products – this is it. Now is the time to start sharing what you know and turn it into passive income. You’re not just selling information, you’re selling impact. And that impact can literally change lives. Not only your customers but yours as well. Once you start one day you might wake up to thousands of dollars sitting in your account. Just from one product.
